A sweet Southern Saga about friendship, heartaches, new beginnings and a little splash of mystery.

Get swept away in a whirlwind story about forging a path of hope, restoration, and healing. What starts out as a fun filled beach getaway, quickly turns into a dramatic change in the lives of four women.  In a sleepy southern town of Greenway, NC.  you will find Leslie Cartwright, Carrie Hargrove, Sandra Forlines, and Laney Rich. They possess as much strength as any hurricane the Carolinas has ever experienced. But beyond that fierce strength, grit, and tenacity, all of them are experiencing emotional turbulence.  Leslie is struggling with past events that destroyed her family. Carrie is just on the other side of a horrible divorce. Sandra is struggling with infertility. Laney is out of work and still single. It’s all weighing heavy and it’s taking a toll on their dispositions. They decide to get back to a “happy place” and the first destination is Emerald Isle, NC. They have an amazing beginning to the trip, but it gets interrupted when a pivotal moment takes place back home. Although it’s quite tragic, the rest of their story is completely re-written. You will see the bond they share is a tight tapestry and their devotion to each other is the foundation that new life is built upon. Together they find the key to new life when simultaneous events create amazing strategical opportunities and gives them exactly what they were longing for all along. But it comes with a price to be paid for their gain. A southern saga of choices, chances, deliberate and unintentional decisions and a new story begins.

I finished the book and I loved it. I can’t wait to see a sequel.  The characters were very real, and I could identify with many of their life challenges. Great job Lisa Allen and so nice to have a book not R rated to read.

The characters feel like your own girlfriends. The way women come together for each other. I thought about the characters throughout my day anxiously waiting to be reading more. For a first-time author, Lisa Allen brings enthusiasm, creativity and excitement to the reader. Looking forward to the sequel or Lisa’s next book.

I read this book in two days. It’s a perfect “beach read”, and they’re my favorite kind. If you’re from Eastern NC, you’ll love references to some of the places you know. Reading this book brought back wonderful memories for me. Although it’s fiction, the main characters speak with true southern flair. I’d recommend you get a copy and see for yourself!

Dawn

If you are ready to relax, get to know new friends, laugh out loud, or maybe even tear up a bit, this is the book for you. I did a little of it all as I read this book. Being from Eastern NC, I recognized many of the locations in the book and was able to jump right into the story. The characters come to life on the page as the author shows the love and devotion, they have for each other. Their journey is worth the read. You will not be disappointed. As a matter of fact, there are many surprises along the way!

I loved this book!! It brings you into the character’s lives to the point you feel you know them. Couldn’t put it down until I finished! Sure hope there is a sequel!
